The VCU Alcohol Research Center receives federal and university funding for our research and teaching mission. However, these resources are limited. Our mission is to use novel genetic approaches to understand the mechanisms and find new treatments for alcoholism and alcohol use disorder -- the third largest cause of preventable death in the United States and the underlying cause of the largest source of preventable developmental cognitive impairment (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) in the world. We also seek to train the next generation of scientists dedicated to studying alcohol-related disease.

If you would like to make a donation to help us accomplish our mission, please visit the MCV Foundation online eGiving web site at:  https://www.support.vcu.edu/give/mcvf

Choose the “other” indication in the Gift Information section and please indicate “VCU Alcohol Research Center” as the designation.  In addition, you can establish named funds for $10,000 or more. For more information about these and other opportunities, please visit the MCV Foundation website.
